Old & New..

City Center Gallery & Books specializes in quality used hardbacks and paperback books. If not in stock, our staff are experts at locating that out-of-print or hard-to-find book. We also carry new books by promising and established local authors and host meet-and greet book signing events throughout the year.

Book Categories: Classics, Special Interest, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Mystery & Suspense, Poetry, Self-Help, Biography, African American Literature, Local Interest, Children’s, Collectibles, P.G. Wodehouse, Agatha Christie, Military, Revolutionary and Civil War. We also have North Carolina’s largest selection of books on Lafayette, French hero of the American Revolution and our city’s namesake.

Featured Books: Every day we add a variety of books to our sale table. Many are on sale for $1.00 or less. These books sell quickly so stop by and check out this selection.

Each month we choose relevant titles and push them to the forefront. So look for mystery and suspense books in October. In November we will be getting ready for A Dickens Holiday and will begin showcasing our great selection of books by Charles Dickens.

Our displays are always changing! Come back often to see what is new!

Leanin’ Tree

City Center Gallery & Books features greeting cards designed by Leanin’ Tree. We have two racks full of their Scrapbook and Special Moment lines with a card for every occasion. In addition, we have a large selection of note cards by local and regional artists. Stop by today and show someone you care by sending a beautiful sentimental or humorous card.
